3 Steps to Youth Vote Success
Volunteer ambassadors can bring the U. Vote into their schools in 3 easy steps.
Step 1: Contact the U. Vote to set up an orientation and get started! You'll get help identifying a school mentor to gain permission to have English teachers pass out copies of mail ballot applications to seniors on "Decision Day" each May.
Step 2: Download & Copy. Search for your county's election office website where vote-by-mail applications can be printed. A U. Vote officer can help you track this down! Make enough copies for every senior at your school.
Step 3: "Decision Day"! With the support of a school mentor, ensure all senior class English teachers receive enough copies of mail-ballot applications for each student and are briefed on how to answer any logistical questions, ie. how to help a student find out online if they're already registered. By the end of "Decision Day", your mission is accomplished!
